Learning outcomes :
The course aims to perfect the level of oral and written expression to achieve a more refined mastery of the language. The student should acquire a thorough knowledge of the language. He/she will be able to write texts using a specialised lexicon according to the field covered, but also to construct presentations and express his/her opinion in a precise manner. In addition, the course continues to deepen knowledge of Hispanic culture and its diversity.
By the end of the term, the student should have achieved greater autonomy and fluency in the target language.

The best students should reach level(s) B2.2 or even C1, as defined by the Common European Framework of Reference. For the others, a level B2.1, as defined by the CEFR, should be reached at the end of the quarter.

Course contents :
Revision of the grammatical content of level 2 (subjunctive, verbal periphrases, imperative, connectors, etc.).
Study and contextualisation of the thematic vocabulary of the press and cinema as well as collocations specific to the different lexical fields studied.
For each course, the student prepares one topic from the Spanish press and another from the Spanish-American press and presents it orally to his/her fellow students. These presentations must use complex expressions and precise vocabulary.
Students should be aware that they must read and listen to the Spanish-American media on a regular basis.
Debates and role-playing are also organised.


Planned learning activities and teaching methods :
Interactive course between teachers and students which requires active participation by the latter.



Assessment methods and criteria :
Five film reviews are to be submitted (see calendar) during the quarter.
Oral presentations are also evaluated.
When part of the teaching activities are carried out at a distance, the instructions will be sent by Moodle and the active participation of each student in these activities is expected. This will ensure that work and activities completed at a distance will also be included in the continuous assessment grade.
Any changes (content, assessment, timetable...) due to external circumstances (health situation) will be communicated via Moodle.

The final exam consists of a simulation of the DELE (Diploma Español Lengua Extranjera) at levels B2.1 or B2.2 (depending on the student's background). This exam is divided into 4 parts and assesses the following skills: EE, EO, CL, CA.
In case of confinement, the tests will be done via the Moodle and Teams platforms.
