- Participate in presentations of Dutch speaking specialists who are willing to share their experience ;
- Develop speaking skills through proper presentations, debates and discussions on the studied themes ;

- Use and put the studied grammar and vocabulary into context.

In order to develop reading and listening comprehension, the students have to read press articles and watch reports. Starting from these articles and reports, they have to make a press file.
In order to develop the speaking skills, this file will be discussed during class and or the oral assessment.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods :
Reading of texts followed by group discussions and individual or collective presentations ; watching of reports ; listening comprehension ; presentations by specialists.

Assessment methods and criteria :
A/ A written examination takes place at the end of the semester and assesses the students' knowledge of the contents of the semester.
They also need to hand out the written version of two files :
- A press file composed of five synthesis reports on articles and videos. The students will be told the date of handing out in the beginning of the year.
- A personal file on the organization of an event (social, cultural, political…) or on the creation of a company or a city intervention. The instructions for this work will be provided in class and online. The students will be told the date of handing out in the beginning of the year.

If the files are not handed out in time, the students have to take their oral assessment during a second session.

B/ An assessment of the oral knowledge takes place at the end of the semester.
Personal presentation of the two files during an oral assessment at the end of the semester.
- For the first file, the students should be able to explain the contents and give a personal opinion about the articles they read and the reports they saw.
- For the second file, they should be able to explain how they developed the project, the steps they took, the goals they achieved, the difficulties they encountered…

The students who do not intend to present their assessment in first session have to contact their lecturer before the end of the semester in order to agree on a new date to hand out their work.
