Upgrading of the basic Dutch in order to reach the A2 level (Common European Framework of Reference) ; - Revision of basic grammar ; - Revision of basic vocabulary : personal data / studying / life and living / travelling / health.

Course contents :
As the programme only allows for one hour a week, the course aims to consolidate and broaden the grammatical and semantic knowledge.
The course is divided in different sections in order to alternate between : - themes and texts with a basic vocabulary ; - basic grammar (tenses, nouns and adjectives, pronouns & determinants, negation, passive…)
Planned learning activities and teaching methods :
- Develop reading comprehension thanks to current articles about everyday life themes, using Q & A methods and basic vocabulary. - Revision of grammar rules through grammar exercises. - Use the studied grammar and vocabulary in context.
Assessment methods and criteria :
1/ Formative assessment : The students' attendance and active participation influence their final assessment. 2/ Final assessment :
A/ A written exam in December (20%). This exam assesses the students' knowledge of the contents of the first semester. B/ A written exam in June (80%). This exam assesses the students' knowledge of the contents of the whole year.
