Learning outcomes :
The course aims to give students an overview of the major trends in the theory of public relations and organizational communication. A second objective is to understand the key concepts of this communication.

Course contents :
Main topics: the professional profile of the public relations representative; its main skills; the practice in light of the latest European Communication Monitor; major theories of communication and public relations, the four key concepts of the course: identity, influence, legitimacy and accountability; different disciplines and facets of the public relations representative.
Each key concept is illustrated by some case studies.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods :
The course is taught in French. There are 7 courses of 4 hours, organised around lectures and coaching of works done in groups.

The four key concepts are the subject of a formal context by case study. These cases are treated in groups and work progress is evaluated over the coaching sessions.

Assessment methods and criteria :
The assessment is based on the presentation of the results of group work.
