Learning outcomes :
On completing the course at B3 level, students should be able to demonstrate their ability to:

- Understand the culture of Flanders and the Netherlands by studying their major historical events;
- Enrich their knowledge of Flanders and the Netherlands by studying the events and people that have marked their history.
- Use appropriate vocabulary;
- Use full sentences and express themselves with fluency, ease and self-confidence;
- Respect the rules for morphology and syntax.

Course contents :
Outline of the prominent moments in the history of the Netherlands and Flanders since the end of the Antiquity up to the 20th century, and their influence on culture and society.
Students are invited to express themselves through presentations, debates and casual conversations in class.

Exercises. Presentations.

Assessment methods and criteria :
Written exam in June.
