Learning outcomes :
At the end of the course, the students should be thoroughly familiar with theoretical concepts such as the rights in rem, the concept of property or the notion of possession. In addition, students will have to handle with ease the various rights in rem with regard to enjoyment, while subjecting them to comparison when necessary.

Course contents :
The course covers two main aspects of property law: the study of property (with the distinction made between moveable and immoveable property, for example) and the examination of rights in rem. This last part is divided into two sections: the theoretical definition of this concept on the one hand and, on the other hand, the study of the main rights in rem regarding enjoyment: ownership (and its mode of acquisition through possession) and joint ownership. Particular attention will be paid, within this framework, to the rights in rem on the property of others: usufruct, use, rights of access, etc.

Assessment will evaluate the students' mastery of the material covered during the lectures as well as the examples drawn from case law and examined during the practical exercises.
