Learning outcomes :
The objectives of this course are:

1 - Introduction to the main concepts and theories of contemporary economic and social ethics. At the end of the course, you should be able to characterize each of the theories surveyed in class and to draw practical implications for concrete ethical issues.

2 - Developing the skills required to build an ethical argument and to formulate it clearly. These skills include: developing a clear and coherent argument to defend a normative thesis, anticipating and taking into account possible objections, identifying the ethical premises of positions in public debate and political discussions, checking their plausibility and coherence, building an autonomous ethical position.
