Learning outcomes :
The goal of this seminar is to provide the student an opportunity to:
• Apply and integrate his/her knowlegde gathered in courses from previous semesters while analyzing problems related to business decision making
• Linking business problems with theoretical underpinnings, in particular in business administration.
• Solving these problems by means of a systematic approach.
• Developing insight in the nature of business administration.
• Model development.
• Working in team and presenting one's work.

Course contents :
The general theme of the seminar:

The aim of this seminar is to identify, analyze and discuss problems, issues and/or challenges related to a specific topic in business administration and discuss these based on relevant theory and data collection and treatment. An essential part of this exercise is to identify and analyze the data that are of relevance for the question at hand. The students may in addition present their work and will collaborate in groups, for instance by writing a joint paper.


Planned learning activities and teaching methods :
Several formats are possible, possibly combined: regular in class lectures, self study, group work and group sessions in which the instructor offers supervision and guidance on a regular basis in meetings with each group, individual or group presentations.


Assessment methods and criteria :
The evaluation of the seminar has an in class component: participation, presentation, group work, etc. There may also be a regular exam, written or oral, counting only partially towards the final grade.
