In the part relating to managerial aspects, two points are developed: (1) staff and skills management (analysis of jobs and skills, human resource planning, analysis of the positions, recruitment, selection and allocation of human resources, development of the skills and training, internal mobility) and (2) payroll management (salary classification and qualification of the jobs, performance evaluation, payroll supervision, direct and indirect remuneration, individualisation of salaries).

The second part of the course, considering the main legal aspects of human resource management, has two components: the employment contract and the termination of the employment contract.

The third part of the course, in which psycho-social aspects of HRM are deepened, includes the following themes: work motivation, stress and well-being at work, conflict management and business communication.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods :
The course is based upon two pedagogical approaches: lecture and case studies.

Assessment methods and criteria :
Written examination divided in two parts: the first part is a true or false questionnaire to assess the student's knowledge of the subject matter; the second part consists of open questions which aim to bring the students to explain their understanding of the course and their ability to apply the studied content to concrete cases.
