2015 - 2016 Programme

Bachelor in Philosophy
For the holder of a Bachelor in Modern Languages and Letters: German, Dutch and English

Introduction/Overview

This BA in Philosophy is designed to be complementary to the BA in Modern Languages and Literatures: German, Dutch and English programme. It qualifies its holders to pursue their studies of philosophy at master’s (second-cycle) level.

It aims to provide students with an opportunity to consolidate and broaden their education in philosophy and its courses are selected for their synergies with the BA in Modern Languages and Literatures: German, Dutch and English programme.

Programme content is governed by a harmonisation agreement between the universities of the French-speaking Community of Belgium. As a consequence, at least one course for each subject listed in the agreement for BA programmes in history must be included in one of the student’s two ‘dualled’ programmes (i.e. included in either the BA in Modern Languages and Literatures: German, Dutch and English, or the second BA in Philosophy) and must total 108 credits.
