This course aims to introduce students to formal logic as well as the major issues of the philosophy of logic and analytic philosophy of language.

Course contents :
Four parts: 1. The problem of truth in the realist tradition. 2. From logicisation of mathematics to formalisation of logic. 3. Introduction to the logic of unanalysed propositions (+ exercises). 4. Problems of logic: meaning and reference, truths and paradoxes.
