Standard Fees
Standard annual enrolment fees for the academic year for a full-time student 2022-2023 are 835.00 €*.
The students concerned by this amount are of nationality :
Belgian.
A national of a member state of the European Union.
A national of a non-EU country and considered as equivalent to a Belgian student (the official term is ‘assimilated’: you are considered as ‘assimilated’ if you satisfy the assimilation criteria).
A national of a non-EU country considered as not assimilated. The student’s country of origin is on the United Nation’s list of LDC countries.
A national of a non-EU country considered as not assimilated, not inclued in the list of LDC countries and identified in Circular n°001/2018 of 20 February 2018 - Université - Montant des droits d'inscription majorés des étudiants non finançables (2018-2022) available on this web page (11 countries are concerned : Ivory Coast, Zimbabwe, Papua New Guinea, Cameroon, Nigeria, Syria, Swaziland, Kenya, Pakistan, Ghana and Congo (Brazzaville)).
Enrolment fees may be reduced to:
0.00 € for students in receipt of a study grant from the French-speaking Community of Belgium.
374.00 € for students benefiting from a reduction in enrolment fees (i.e. reduction of the minerval).
485.00 € for students benefiting from a minerval grant.
How to benefit from these reductions
Supplementary enrolment fees
In addition to the regular enrolment fees, students from outside the European Union who are not assimilated and do not benefit from an exemption provided for in circular n°001/2018 of 20/02/2018 - University - Amount of the increased enrolment fees for non-financible students published on the ARES website are required, in certain cases, to pay increased enrolment fees amounting to €4175.00 for the academic year 2022-2023.

How to pay the enrolment fees
Once the registration has been registered, the student will find the amount of the enrolment fees on the intranet under the heading "payment of enrolment fees", together with the bank details and the structured communication.
Payment can be made in three ways:
by bank transfer using the structured communication on the intranet
by bancontact* at the Registration Desk during opening hours Cash payment is not accepted.
by "Mandat de poste" via La Poste (as a reminder, no cash will be accepted at the Registration Office).
Pratical information for international bank transfers
In case of withdrawal, it is possible to be refunded under certain conditions.
Cost of a study year in Belgium
The above-mentioned amounts only concern the registration fee for a study year. During the academic year, the student must take into account other costs such as enrolment fees, transport, accommodation, etc.
