2016 - 2017 Programme

Bachelor in Philosophy
For the holder of a Bachelor in Law

Overview

This bachelor’s programme provides an education that is complementary to the Bachelor’s degree in Law.

It enables students to obtain the degree of Bachelor in Philosophy and to have access to the second-cycle (Master) programmes in philosophy.

Its objective is to provide students with the opportunity to expand and consolidate their philosophical training. In light of this, the courses in the programme are linked to the Bachelor’s programme in Law followed by the student.  Therefore, it is primarily intended for students having chosen to work towards a minor in philosophy.

The principle of the programme is the following: each subject listed in the harmonisation agreements (universities of the Belgian French-speaking Community) of the Bachelor’s programmes in philosophy must be included, at least one course per subject, in one of the student’s two programmes (BA in Law or Dual BA in Philosophy).

Should a student not have chosen the two mandatory courses for the dual philosophy degree from among the course offerings of the BA in Law’s Philosophy Minor, those courses will automatically be included in the dual degree programme in Philosophy.  The same applies to the "Séminaire de philosophie" and the" Séminaire de théorie du droit" (philosophy orientation) from the BA in Law programme.
