Key learning outcomes

Upon completing the bachelor's degree in philosophy, students will have acquired the following skills:

  • A broad general culture in human and social sciences through an introductions to disciplines such as history and historical criticism, psychology and sociology, literature and linguistics, arts, law;
  • Knowledge of major authors and major currents of philosophy;
  • Knowledge of the major disciplines underpinning philosophy (logic, epistemology, ethics, metaphysics...);
  • Mastery of work tools and methods specific to philosophy;
  • Development of research approaches of scientific significance;
  • Openness to foreign languages.

and more broadly, a wealth of transferable skills:

  • ability to analyse complex systems of thought;
  • ability to interact with the philosophical tradition in a critical and constructive manner;
  • ability to develop a well-articulated reasoning;
  • ability to develop concepts in a bid to make the complexity of today's world more understandable.
