2022 - 2023 Programme

Bachelor’s Degree in Modern Languages and Letters:

German, Dutch and English

The programme of study in Modern Languages and Humanities: Germanic Orientation consists of teaching units corresponding to a total of 180 credits. The programme is divided into three annual blocks of 60 credits each.

In the first year, a choice must be made between two of the three Germanic languages, namely Dutch, English and German.

In addition, from the start of the academic year 2022-2023, students entering the second annual block will have the choice between two options: the "Erasmus" option or the "third language" option (the option consists of a thematic grouping of courses, also called 'teaching units):

If the student chooses the Erasmus option, he/she chooses to go on an Erasmus trip for the entire first four months of the third year of the bachelor's degree. Half of the year's program, i.e. 30 credits out of 60, will be composed of courses taken abroad.

If, however, the student chooses the 'third language' option, he or she will combine the third Germanic language with the two languages chosen when registering for the first year of the bachelor's program. The 'third language' option thus counts 20 credits in total.
