Erasmus

The School of European Studies gives the students regularly enrolled to the Master 120 the opportunity to have an Erasmus study stay during the first semester of the annual block 2 of this program. A stay at a foreign university completes and enlarges the academic curriculum proposed at the UCLouvain. The lectures followed there (for 30 credits) are integrated to the curriculum of student at the UCLouvain.

In 2021-202 the following destinations are available:

  • France: Institut d'Etudes Politiques à Paris
  • Italy: Florence University
  • Germany: University of Cologne
  • Poland: Jagiellonian University and University of Wroclaw 
  • Czech Republic : Charles University in Prague
  • Switzerland: University of Geneva
  • Hungary: University of Szeged

Double degree with internship

Starting in the academic year 2017-18, UCL’s inter-faculty School of European Studies and the Institute of European Studies of the Université de Saint-Louis – Beuxelles are offering, together with the University and Institute of Political Studies in Strasbourg, a double Master’s diploma in European and international studies.

This double diploma course takes two full academic years to complete, with the first at Louvain-la-Neuve and the second in Strasbourg.

During the year in Louvain-la-Neuve, students will study the economic, legal, political and historical foundations of the European integration process: https://uclouvain.be/prog-2019-euro2m-leuro200t

At the Institute of Political Studies in Strasbourg, students will be able to choose between four different options: borders, international negotiations, transnational issues and Europe, and globalisation.

Eligibility criteria:

•    Students must be registered with the Master 120 European studies programme (EURO2MS/G)

•    Language skills: French B2, English B2

•    Students must have gained a distinction or higher in their BAC (or the equivalent for non-Belgian qualifications)

•    Students must have attained 60 credits in the June exam session of the 1st year of the EURO2MS/G programme.
