ROMA1314 - Seminar of Introduction to Literary Writing

Learning outcomes :
Upon completion of this course, the students will have acquired some experience regarding the professional writing whether literary, dramatic, journalistic or other. They will have met personalities from this specific world and thanks to these meetings, they will be able to identify and to describe the poetic processes of one or more literary.

Course contents :
The seminar takes a particular form, as it is comprised, depending on the years, of a series of meetings with writers (in Saint-Louis or outside the University), but also, possibly, attendance to plays, to writing workshops and other types of conferences, aso. In practice, any activity that allows students to acquire some experience with the practice of literary writing may be included in the seminar.



Planned learning activities and teaching methods :
This seminar spans the entire year and consists of several sessions as described hereabove. These activities are announced to the students throughout the year (always in advance so that they can prepare the meeting).

The students are expected to attend the scheduled sessions during which they will meet writers and to prepare these sessions through prior readings indicated by the lecturer.

Written work (instructions will be given to students at the beginning of the second semester).
