Learning outcomes :
This course provides a general introduction to production management, operations management and supply chain management. This course covers not only the production and the distribution of physical goods, but also the production and distribution of services.

To achieve this goal, the course teaches the fundamental concepts of production management, workflow management and both structural as well as tactical decisions.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods :
Lecture and practical exercises.

Assessment methods and criteria :
Assessment is composed of a mandatory part (i.e the examination) and an optional part. The optional part enables you to reduce the weight of the examination (reduction of 25%).

The examination is closed-book and takes 3 hours. A memory aid written by the lecturers will be distributed during the examination. This memory aid will be also published on eSaintLouis.

The optional assignment enables you to eliminate 25% of the written examination. In this case, students write and present a report on a company's management and supply chain, in teams.
