Lecturer :
Teaching assistants :
Mode of delivery :
Face-to-face , first term, 22,5 hours of theory and 22,5 hours of exercises.
Timetable :
First term Thursday from 09:00 to 11:00 at 119 Marais 2100
Language of instruction :
French
Learning outcomes :
The aims are : • To teach the students the principles of functioning of computers and computer systems • To teach them how information is presented in a computer system. • The students will also learn the foundations of programming in the context of an algorithmic approach of solving problems. The algorithmic approach is based on a language called «algorithmic language». • The implementation and experimentation of algorithms on the computer are made in the programming language Python.
Prerequisites :
None
Co-requisites :
None
Course contents :
- Algorithmic Langage - Structure of programmes - Python - Hardware - Software - Networks and the Internet - Business Information Systems
Planned learning activities and teaching methods :
Ex cathedra presentations. Computers are used for tutorials.
Assessment methods and criteria :
The summative assessment is a written closed-book examination lasting three hours.
Questions will cover the basic concepts studied in class and practical problems involving creating a data structure, proposing an algorithm, and programming in order to solve a given problem.
