2012 - 2013 Programme

Key learning outcomes

Upon completion of the Bachelor of Political Sciences programme, students will have acquired:

  • a certain degree of general culture in the human and social sciences, based on the knowledge of the main premises and approaches of the various disciplines, in addition to their methods and related ethical issues,
  • a more in-depth knowledge in the field of political science and its various branches: international relations, European studies, (national) institutions and political regimes, the study of political parties and lobby groups, the analysis of public policy, of political thought/opinions/ideas…
  • the ability to produce, individually or as part of a team, an analysis of contemporary political issues, which implies:
    • the ability to successfully compile information based on the most appropriate information-gathering methods,
    • the ability to process the information obtained based on existing research on the subject and according to the most appropriate analytical methods,
    • the ability to communicate the results of the analysis in a clear, coherent, structured and attractive manner, both orally and in written form.
  • the strong command of at least one language other than French so as to be able to follow political sciences courses taught in that language and take the corresponding exams in that language.
