Introduire les étudiants à l'analyse de l'Union européenne en tant que système politique et ainsi contribuer à leur donner les bases d'une approche critique des développements passés et en cours du projet européen. |

INTRODUCTION - WHAT IS THE EUROPEAN UNION ?
• Basic elements: treaties, institutions, identity, values.
• European integration: different stages, changing membership; europeanization and its limits.
• The future: rejection of the Constitutional Treaty: what next? ; the challenge of euroscepticism and nationalism ; globalisation and individualism; rethinking the European Union.

| Méthodes d'enseignement :

|
Après une introduction générale, les différents chapitres de l'ouvrage de référence ainsi que les articles de complément font l'objet de présentations par les étudiants (groupes de 3 au maximum). Ces présentations sont complétées par des synthèses écrites. Les intervenants sont invités à identifier, pour chaque thème, quelques questions susceptibles de faire débat avec l'auditoire.
Les étudiants reçoivent une description du contenu indicatif du cours ainsi qu'une bibliographie dont certains livres sont plus spécialement recommandés. |

| Méthodes d'évaluation :
|
|
La cote finale est basée pour moitié respectivement sur l'évaluation de la présentation faite dans le cadre du cours (ainsi que de son support écrit) et sur l' examen écrit (deux questions). |
