Language of instruction : Italian and French.
Learning outcomes : The student should learn Italian in a socio-cultural context. At the end of the first year, the student should be able to express himself in most everyday life situations. He should master Italian morphology and standard vocabulary (threshold level).

Course contents : Philological introduction and usual language learning. Understanding exercises and oral and written expressions. Nominal and verbal morphology. Basic vocabulary.
Mode of delivery : The lecture introduces to Italian grammar and is completed by the exercise sessions.
Lecture: 1 hour a week. First half of the year.
Exercise sessions: 2 hours a week. The whole year.
Assessment methods and criteria : Written and oral tests during the year. Written and oral assessments during the examination session.
