[2 Q. • 30 Th. • 8 ECTS - credits]

Lecturer : Fournier Anne-Alexandra

Learning outcomes : The aim of the course is to enable the students, through mastering essential theoretical referents, to implement in a practical manner and with a discerning mind, an analytical approach of public action in a specific field they have chosen.
Prerequisites : Fundamental knowledge in political science.
Course contents : This course will study the fundamental theoretical referents, whether traditional or contemporary, in analyzing public action, through the reading of texts. Mode of delivery : Seminar course based on the reading of texts. Students, having read and analyzed in advance a text representative of analysis of public action, will introduce part of the sessions. Other sessions, during which the professors will lead the students, will be of a more traditional nature (theoretical introductions, empirical illustrations).
Assessment methods and criteria : The final assessment will be based on:
1 - the students' participation and implication in the course (which includes the presentation and discussion of articles read in advance);
2 - writing a personal essay presented in class at the end of the academic year.
Recommended or required reading : The bibliography will be provided during the first sessions of the course.
