The aim is to initiate the students to the issues relating to the theory of reference such as they arise within the contemporary philosophy dimension.

Kant is not only the gravedigger of traditional metaphysics, he is also the one that revolutionised its meaning. What are the fundamental problems of metaphysics in a post-Kantian horizon? With this question as backdrop, the course aims to present the main stages of the constructivist philosophy that lead to Quine's conception of ontology.
