Minor in Criminology
Students having included these optional courses in their programme will qualify to pursue the Master of Criminology at the UCL or the ULB, depending on the choices made in the third year.

- For students wishing to pursue the UCL’s Master of Criminology programme: 2 courses to be chosen from among the optional courses in the human sciences (3rd year, 60 hrs. in total, 6 ECTS credits)
Remarks: during their Master of Criminology at the UCL, students will have to add the course of Introduction aux sciences bio-médicales en rapport avec la criminologie (ECRI 1502 - 3 ECTC credits) to their programme. In exchange, they may be able to obtain an exemption from a language course in light of the language courses followed at Saint-Louis.
- For students wishing to pursue the ULB’s Master of Criminology programme:
ECGE1132 - Descriptive Statistics and probability
Remarks: during their Master of Criminology studies at the ULB, students will have to add the course of Politiques sociales et prévention de délinquance (5 ECTS credits). In exchange, they will be exempted from the courses of Prodédure pénale (30 hrs., 3 ECTS credits - part of Saint-Louis’ 2nd-year BA programme) and Sociologie juridique based on their having taken Séminaire de théorie du droit, orientation criminology ou orientation sciences politiques (6 ECTS credits, followed in 2nd- and 3rd-year BA at Saint-Louis).

Specific criteria applying to students wishing to pursue the Dual Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy
The courses followed by * are mandatory for the dual degree programme in philosophy. The two courses that are not chosen as part of the BA in Law’s Philosophy Minor course offerings will automatically be included in the dual degree programme in philosophy.
Additionally, these students must follow:
- DROI1135 - Seminar on philosophy in the first year of the BA in Law programme from among the list of seminar choices. (This seminar can be replaced by séminaire de lecture de textes philosophiques I to be followed in the Faculty of Philosophy, Literature and Human Sciences):
- DROI1231 - Seminar on law theory: philosophical orientation part of the mandatory programme of study in the 2nd and 3rd years of the BA in Law.
If these two seminars are not taken as part of a student’s BA in Law programme, they will automatically be included in the dual degree programme in philosophy.
