2012 - 2013 Programme

Overview

Saint-Louis University, Brussels offers a Bachelor of Law degree during evening classes to those who wish to further or refocus their education while continuing to work or while seeking employment.

Courses take place on Monday through Friday, from 5 to 8 p.m. (up to 9 p.m.).  Sessions covering legal methodology (in 1st year) or practical exercises (in 2nd and 3rd years) take place on some Saturday mornings.

Three strengths characterise Saint-Louis’ BA in Law evening class programme :

  • It is a programme that qualifies students to pursue  second-cycle (Master) studies.
  • This programme is implemented by means of methodologies and monitoring adapted to its adult population.
  • This course of study includes an interdisciplinary education, one that stimulates students’ critical thinking and enables them to relate society’s current issues (citizenship, globalisation, solidarity and cultural pluralism, among others) to their training in the core disciplines.

Structure

The Bachelor of Law programme taught during evening classes is a three-year course of study, and each year counts 60 ECTS credits.

This programme provides unconditional access to the corresponding Master’s programmes offered during daytime classes by Belgian French-language universities and to the evening programme offered by UCL (Louvain-la-Neuve).

The BA in Law taught during evening classes also qualifies students to pursue the Master in Administrative Sciences offered by Institut Cooremans (Haute Ecole Francisco Ferrer, Brussels).
