Languages

Students can choose among modern languages (Dutch, English, German, Italian, Spanish) as well as ancient languages (Greek and Latin).

The bachelor programme in philosophy includes a minimum of 10 language credits.

During the first year, students take an English course specifically geared to reading and writing academic English. Two levels are provided (intermediate and advanced). During the second year, students have a choice between different courses in modern languages (English, Dutch, German, Spanish or Italian Literature) or ancient languages (Latin or Greek). The level varies according to the language chosen.

Furthermore, the range of minors offered includes a possibility to acquire an excellent level of English, approached both from a linguistic and from literary and cultural angles.
