2022 - 2023 Programme

Teaching Approach

Educational effectiveness is ensured by the complementary nature of several teaching methods: lectures – accompanied by discussions that highlight the participants’ previous experience and professional background, group exercises, individual assignments and support classes.

The teaching methods take into consideration the need to optimise the limited time adult students have to devote to such studies in addition to their professional and/or family life.

From the very first term of the first year, measures are taken to familiarise students with university-level work: an initiation to university-level work specially oriented for evening-class students, revision classes, and so on.

Regardless of the Bachelor programme, Saint-Louis places strong emphasis on academic support. The Academic Guidance Service offers various support activities and is available to meet with students upon request.

Assessment

With regard to assessment, three exam sessions are organised during the academic year: in January, in June and in September.  In the first year, the January exams are a sort of trial session, and exams for subjects in which students do not receive passing grades can be re-taken in June and/or in September.
