2022 - 2023 Programme

Internship

As part of this programme you will undertake a work placement of 270 hours (7 weeks) in an organisation of your choice (enterprise, not-for-profit organisation, public administration, consultancy, social society movements, etc.).

This placement offers you an opportunity to actively participate in the work of your host organisation, to compare the theory you have studied with workplace practice and to reflect on the skills you have learnt.

The practical seminar (15 hours) covers identifying a work placement opportunity, practical aspects of the placement as specified in the placement agreement, progress monitoring and support and finally, the drafting of the placement report. It also covers recommended methods, including the sharing of experience (sharing between students on placement), field observation, justified critical analysis and report writing.

The integrated work placement may be linked with the dissertation project and may also be supported through the ‘Interdisciplinary technical workshop in interactive and collaborative communication’, which offers you a collaboration-based venue in which you can test the communication solutions you envisage working on during your placement.
