Spanish and French.

Learning outcomes :
At the end of the year, the students should know the morphology of the language, be able to write a short text and to express themselves in simple everyday life situations.
At the end of the course students will have reached the A1-A2 level defined by the Common European Framework of Reference

Course contents :
Development of receptive (reading comprehension or comprehension of simple messages in standard language) and production skills (conversation: communicative situations of every day life, written essays).
Increase awareness of sociolinguistical and intercultural aspects...



Planned learning activities and teaching methods :
Ex cathedra lecture on Spanish grammar
Practical exercises of comprehension and production that imply an active participation of the students
Semi-autonomous learning of vocabulary

In case of confinement
Where part of the teaching activities are to be carried out remotely, instructions will be sent by Moodle and the active participation of each student in these activities is expected. Work and activities carried out remotely can thus also be included in the continuous evaluation score.
Any modification (content, evaluation, schedule, etc.) linked to external circumstances (health situation) will be communicated by Moodle.

Assessment methods and criteria :

There are four written examinations: around All Saints' Day, during the January term, around Easter and during the June term.
The first term is worth 40% and the second 60%.

If a switch to virtual mode is noticed, these exams will take place on the Moodle platform.

In case of virtual mode, these exams will take place on the Moodle platform.

January and June session: depending on the evolution of the health rules concerning the COVID19 pandemic, two modes of evaluation are possible:
• if face-to-face examination > written of 2H,
• if the exam is done remotely > 45 minutes written exam on the Moodle platform (MCQ, open questions).
The exam is closed book
