Learning outcomes :
This course aims at the analysis, study and use, as well as the design and critique of enterprise information systems including databases and ERP software.

The course is based on the conceptual modeling languages UML and EA to cover the analysis and design stages of information systems. Although this language was developed for the conceptual modeling of object-oriented software, the course will be limited to the implementation of conceptual models for the design and management of databases.

For the Bachelor : Business Engineering :

Co-requisites :
None

Course contents :
The following list is tentative, and subjects may change during the semester.
The subjects will not necessarily be covered in the order shown below:
• Analysis of a problem statement
• Conceptual Modeling
• Class Diagram
• Design Patterns and Methods
• Relational models
• Database Implementation SQL DDL
• Database Management : SQL DML

Planned learning activities and teaching methods :

Assessment methods and criteria :
Permanent evaluation (group work) integrated with the practical work + Oral exam (individual).

The permanent assessment evaluates the analytical skills of the students through an analysis of a specification and the ability to transform this analysis into an information system (i.e. production).
