Learning outcomes :
The general learning objective is to acquire active knowledge of a second legal language (Dutch) and a passive knowledge of a third legal language (English). The teaching unit is composed of two learning activities: 1) ‘Legal Dutch' (DROI1251A). This course is organised in the second semester (45 hours) by Frank Fleerackers, Frédéric Amez, Bruno De Gryse; and
2) ‘Reading English Legal Texts' (DROI1251B). This course is organised in the first semester (30 hours) by Catarina Deraedt. For the final grade, ‘Legal Dutch holds a weighting of 3 and ‘Reading English Legal Texts' holds a weighting of 2.
