The Advanced Master in EU Interdisciplinary Studies is an academic programme organised jointly by the Institute for European Studies of the Université Saint-Louis - Bruxelles and the Université catholique de Louvain.

It is an evening study programme that takes place over one year aimed for students who are already holders of a university degree and an audience already active in the professional world. It allows the acquisition or strengthening of expertise in the field of European affairs.

Classes are held Monday through Thursday from 18h to 21h (three times per week) and exceptionnaly a Saturday morning at Saint-Louis in Brussels. 

The Advanced Master (1 year evening course) is for me if:

  • I am the holder of a Masters degree or equivalent;
  • I want to further explore European law and the EU institutions;
  • I work and I wish to gain expertise in European affairs;
  • I am looking for an evening programme compatible with my professional activity.

Structure

The 60 credit programme (220 hours) consists of lectures and seminars, as well as a final dissertation.

The first semester consists of disciplinary courses, the course Introduction to the "European Information and Documentation" and the interdisciplinary seminar "Thinking Europe". The second semester is devoted to the analysis of the scope and methods of European policies and the drafting of the final dissertation (16 credits).
