Mobility

Studying for a term at a foreign university can be an enriching experience. Plunged into a new environment, students develop their ability to adapt, they become more independent and their language skills develop through direct contact with native speakers. A term abroad is also an opportunity to experience a new culture.

For all of these reasons, Saint-Louis encourages inter-university exchange and has agreements in place with an international network of partner universities.

These agreements enable Saint-Louis students to follow part of their BA at a partner university.

Three types of exchange are possible: Erasmus exchanges with universities in the European Union, Erasmus Belgica exchanges with Dutch-speaking universities in Belgium and exchanges with universities located outside of Europe.

Cultural immersion activities form an integral part of the academic programme for translation and interpretation students, whose period of study abroad is equivalent to the workload of a full term (4 months) of work.

Bursaries for language study abroad

Saint-Louis offers bursaries for language study visits abroad during the summer holiday period. Applicants are selected on the basis of their reasons for applying and the coherence of a language study visit with their academic pathway.

To be eligible to receive a bursary, students must have passed all their examinations in the January assessment session.
