Practical part: presentation of and discussion - by students - on written and audiovisual documents.

Translation of general texts into foreign languages without technical difficulties.

Theoretical part: lecture, students take notes.
Practical/applied part: presentation of and discussion - by students - on written and audiovisual documents.

Theoretical analysis of translation processes. Verification of the meaning of words and phrases using document search tools. Translation in language C of an original text in language A respecting the coherence of the message.

Oral exam: produce a presentation on one of the principal periods in Russian history;
Present an oral presentation on a particular current affairs topic and be able to defend a point of view on the topic ;
In the written and oral parts, the evaluation focuses on the student's ability to summarise the content, distinguishing the essential from the non-essential, the coherence of the written/oral text produced, the vocabulary range and grammatical correctness.

Traduction: written exam.

This module/course is subdivided into two parts (Culture and language / Translation) and has two separate exams. The global mark is an average calculated as described above/below. In case of a fail grade, you're invited to visit the MOODLE page of the course and check the details. A 10/20 or higher mark will automatically be transferred to the second or third exam session. It's thus not possible to re-sit the exam related to this part of the course.
