The aim of methodology of philosophy and exercises course is to introduce students to philosophical reading on the one hand, to guide them through their philosophical writing on the other hand.

Course contents :
Methodology of philosophy and exercises course is divided according to two approaches : - The first aspect will be the development of a writing method : how to start, do, present a research ; how to write a dissertation ; how philosophers themselves have theorized their method. - The second aspect will be to acquire the skills of philosophical reading : capacity of understanding philosophical issues of a text, capacity of commenting it by comparing it with recent scientific work, capacity of analysing its theories and its argumentation.

Practical exercises : library working sessions, working group sessions of reading and commentary, writing workshops, in-class exercises, debates…
Assessment methods and criteria :
One class work (commentary) out of session (4h) + one work at home (dissertation)
