(2) to propose a more in-depth view of German structures (especially in the field of syntax);

Co-requisites :

Course contents :
((1) Enhanced knowledge of the field of inflectional morphology and analysis of syntax (such as sentence structure/Satzbaupläne).
(2) In order to achieve a better understanding of the language structure levels in German, the course covers various approaches to describe the grammatical and linguistic framework, based on the functional, cognitive, generative or even socio-linguistic models.
(3) An introduction to various aspects of linguistic contact stresses the characteristics of German and aims at a broader and more thorough understanding of the linguistic structures of German and other European languages.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods :
The seminar is interactive and very dynamic and requires that students actively take part in the form of reflection on various linguistic realities based on many sample sentences. The students are requested to make an oral presentation during the first term on a category of derived verbs.

Assessment methods and criteria :
Formative:
Assessment is based on formative evaluation, i.e. on the oral presentation of a grammatical point and on active participation during the course.

Summative assessment:
At the end of each term, there is a written and oral examination covering the subject material covered during the course.

Weighting Course Linguistics II and Practical exercises: 60/40.
