Admission criteria for Bachelor’s programmes
In order to be eligible to BA Programmes (first cycle or undergraduate university study) at Saint-Louis students must be holders of an appropriate secondary education qualification or, in the case of non-EU students who are not assimilated, must meet specific admissions conditions.
In order to be eligible to take first-cycle examinations in the French Community students must be able to demonstrate a sufficient level of proficiency in the French language.

Relevant Belgian qualifications giving access to University study
The certificate of higher secondary education (CESS) obtained since 1994
The Diploma giving access to higher education ‘Diplôme d'aptitude à accéder à l'enseignement supérieur’ (DAES) awarded by the Board of the French-speaking Community of Belgium.
A relevant higher education qualification awarded by an institution within the French Community of Belgium.
Proof of successful completion of the university entrance examination (examen d’admission aux études universitaires).
A qualification similar to the above awarded in the Flemish or German-speaking Communities of Belgium, or by the Belgian Royal Military School.
Relevant non-Belgian qualifications
The following are not subject to equivalency requirements:
The European baccalaureate awarded by the Board of Governors of the European School
The International baccalaureate awarded by the International baccalaureate office in Geneva
The baccalaureate awarded by the Ecole du Shape in Casteau.
The following are subject to equivalency requirements:
A non-Belgian secondary education qualification that is recognised as equivalent to a Belgian certificate of higher secondary education (CESS), or a higher education qualification awarded within the French-speaking Community of Belgium. Please note that the deadline for submission of requests for recognition of equivalence is the 15 July in the year of admission.
Specific Admission Conditions
Non-EU students who are non-assimilated and who are applying to study on a BA programme must, in addition to holding an appropriate entry-level qualification, be able to satisfy the following three conditions:
They must:
have passed their secondary-level qualification with an average final mark of at least 13/20. This condition does not apply to students holding a Belgian CESS secondary education certificate, a European baccalaureate awarded by the Board of Governors of the European School, an international baccalaureate (IBO) awarded by the international baccalaureate office in Geneva, or a baccalaureate obtained in an OECD country;
have completed their secondary education within the last 7 years;
not have already been awarded a first cycle (undergraduate) qualification.
