Standard annual tuition fees for the academic year for a full-time student 2019-2020 are 835.00 €*.
A national of a member state of the European Union.
A national of a non-EU country and considered as equivalent to a Belgian student (the official term is ‘assimilated’: you are considered as ‘assimilated’ if you satisfy the assimilation criteria).
A national of a non-EU country considered as not assimilated. The student’s country of origin is on the United Nation’s list of LDC countries.
A national of a non-EU country considered as not assimilated, not inclued in the list of LDC countries and identified in Circular n°001/2018 of 20 February 2018 - Université - Montant des droits d'inscription majorés des étudiants non finançables (2018-2022) available on this web page (11 countries are concerned : Ivory Coast, Zimbabwe, Papua New Guinea, Cameroon, Nigeria, Syria, Swaziland, Kenya, Pakistan, Ghana and Congo (Brazzaville)).
Tuition fees may be reduced to:
0.00 € for students in receipt of a study grant from the French-speaking Community of Belgium.
374.00 € for students benefiting from a reduction in tuition fees (i.e. reduction of the minerval).
485.00 € for students benefiting from a minerval grant.
In order to receive full or intermediate grant support, students must submit an application by 31 October 2018 at the latest to the Financial Support & Benefits Office and pay a deposit of 10% of the full tuition fees (83.50 €*). The deposit will be reimbursed on presentation of the official grant notification letter.
Students may also be eligible to pay the tuition fees (minerval) over a number of monthly instalments and benefit from easy payment terms. Please contact the Financial Support & Benefits Office for further information.
Supplementary Tuition Fees
In addition to the standard tuition fees, students from non-EU countries that are not on the UN’s list of LDC countries, neither in the list of 11 countries mentioned above and who are not assimilated, may be required, in some cases, to pay additional tuition fees. For the 2019-2020 academic year the tuition fees in such cases amount are 4175.00 €*.
