Saint-Louis University - Brussels offers a daytime programme in Bachelor of Law but also an evening programme, which was until recently unique in the academic environment of French-speaking Belgium.

Thus, for over thirty years, Saint-Louis University has provided an evening academic education programme for those who wish to further or refocus their training while continuing to work during the daytime or while seeking employment.

Courses take place Monday through Friday, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. (occasionally 9 p.m.) as well as some Saturday mornings. Sessions covering legal methodology (in 1st year) or practical exercises (in 2nd and 3rd year) take place on some Saturday mornings.

Three strengths characterise the BA of Law evening class programme organised by Saint-Louis University:

  • It is a programme that qualifies students to pursue without restriction any second-cycle (Master) studies in Law.
  • This programme is implemented by using methodologies and monitoring adapted to its adult audience.
  • This course of study includes an interdisciplinary training, that stimulates the students’ critical thinking and enables them to contextualise the courses in relation to current issues facing our society (citizenship, globalisation, solidarity, cultural pluralism...).

Structure

The Bachelor of Law programme taught during evening classes is a three-year course of study, and each year counts 60 credits.

This programme provides unconditional access to the corresponding Master’s programmes offered during daytime classes by Belgian French-language universities and to the evening programme offered by UCL (Louvain-la-Neuve).

The BA in Law taught during evening classes also qualifies students to pursue the Master in Administrative Sciences offered by Institut Cooremans (Haute Ecole Francisco Ferrer, Brussels).
