2013 - 2014 Programme

Teaching Approach

The academic teaching staff is composed of professors in political science, law, economics, history, sociology and philosophy from the Saint Louis University, Brussels and the Catholic University of Louvain. The programme also benefits from the interventions of teachers of the Ecole Normale Supérieure (ENS) in Paris as part of a partnership between the ENS Paris and Saint Louis University.

This team is completed by practitioners from the European institutions or the world of European public affairs (officials of the European institutions, the European Parliament, diplomats, journalists, etc..) that will shed further light on the daily functioning of the EU and offer expert resources for the students' work.

The programme is bilingual. Some subjects are taught in English in order to establish a good command of the language. The study of another foreign language is also part of the second year programme of the master’s. The importance of languages reflects the wide range of cultures and nationalities involved in the European process and the need to promote diversity.

Assessment

The assessment can take the form of a written or oral examination (for more information, see the specifications of each course).

The interdisciplinary seminar "Think Europe" and the final dissertation will be evaluated on the basis of a written work and in a manner determined by the board of examiners. The final dissertation may be written in French or English.
