Au terme de ce cours les étudiants auront:
- acquis des connaissances introductives afin d'appréhender l'Union européenne en tant que système politique ;
- acquis les bases d'une approche critique des développements passés et en cours du projet européen.

Bonne connaissance générale du cadre institutionnel de l'Union européenne.

INTRODUCTION - QU'EST-CE QUE L'UNION EUROPEENNE ?

• Eléments de base: traités, institutions, identité, valeurs.
• L'intégration européenne : différentes étapes, adhésions changeantes ; européanisation et ses limites.
• Le futur: rejet du Traité constitutionnel: et après ?; le défis de l'euroscepticisme et du nationalisme ; la mondialisation et l'individualisme ; repenser l'Union européenne.

• Politique exécutive
• Politique législative
• Politique judiciaire
• Opinion publique
• Démocratie, Parties et Elections
• Représentation des intérêts

Après une introduction générale, les différents chapitres de l'ouvrage de référence ainsi que les articles de complément font l'objet de présentations par les étudiants (groupes de 3 au maximum). Ces présentations sont complétées par des synthèses écrites. Les intervenants sont invités à identifier, pour chaque thème, quelques questions susceptibles de faire débat avec l'auditoire.

Les étudiants reçoivent une description du contenu indicatif du cours ainsi qu'une bibliographie dont certains livres sont plus spécialement recommandés.

La cote finale est basée pour moitié respectivement sur l'évaluation de la présentation faite dans le cadre du cours (ainsi que de son support écrit) et sur l'examen écrit (deux questions).
