International Institutional Policy

Université Saint-Louis’s International policy aims at establishing its European and international reputation, galvanizing teaching and research and giving an added value to the academic education it provides.

These priorities materialised, amongst others, by the signature of partnerships with universities in Asia, in the United States, in Canada and in Latin America leading to student mobility activities - but also in some cases, to projects of studying a direct access to the Masters programmes offered by partners - and to a close cooperation in the education and research areas.

Transnational teaching activities have also been undertaken. For example, for many years, the Université Saint-Louis has been taking part in accelerated course programmes and has been co-organising a Summer School with the University of Georgia. This collaboration also enables further cooperation in the fields of education and research by developing common research thematics between the three universities. Benefiting from its priviliged location at the heart of the European Union Capital, Saint-Louis has been organising seminars and courses in cooperation with other universities specialised in European studies for a few years.

Besides, the Philosophical and Religious School of the University organises several chairs whose invited professors are coming from various countries, inside and outside the EU. All these activities with an international accent are accessible to Saint-Louis students and researchers but also to foreing students.

The Université Saint-Louis is also a member of the IAU (International Association of Universities), the EUA (European University Association) and the AUF (University Agency for the french-speaking world).

The Vice-Rector for Education and International Relations intends to further develop this international dimension through individual initiatives as well as by taking part in cooperation programmes and calls for projects proposed by international institution such as the European Commission.
